A little about David Searching Owl.

David Beaulieu was born in a small town in New Hampshire
where he still lives today. Like most people of Native descent, the fact of his
Native heritage was hidden. About seven years ago, David began his search of
his family tree. After some time he found what he was looking for. Both Great
Grandmothers were Native Americans. One was of Ojibwe descent and the other
Abenaki. After the discovery he attended a local powwow, where he was first
introduced to the Native American courting flute.
It
was love at first sound. The beautiful and inspiring music now fills his home
and heart.
Influenced
many Native artist, for the haunting and thought provoking sound, David found
his own style and place. Creating his songs in his home along with his loving
pet, Harley Son of Eagle Bear, who’s vocals inspired the song “Owl and Eagle
Bear” on his first CD “Leap of Faith”.
David
was given the name five years ago. An Elder gave him the name… Searching Owl.

Inspired by several friends, one in particular
Stephen Standing Owl who is an accomplished flutist. Stephen's
friendship and music encouraged Searching Owl to create his first CD.
Spending his winter in hibernation, (recording studio) Searching Owl
released his CD in June 2003. Titled "Leap of Faith".
Searching Owl's music has been referred to as " Hauntingly Beautiful ". He gives praise to the Creator for his music and thanks all that come to listen. |

After a time and in the winter, Searching Owl went back into the studio and started to work with the gifts that had been given him from Creator. Approximately 2 years and 8 month's later "Faith on Fire" was born.
The first track titled "Sweet Interludes" is a collaboration between Richard Soaring Owl and David Searching Owl. Richard wrote and played the guitar and David wrote and played the flute piece. "Sweet Interludes" can be heard at many of the powwows and concerts these two artist attend. The song has been described as "Absolutely Beautiful " and couples have been seen dancing to this enchanting music. You can also find "Sweet Interludes" on Richard's and Keith's New CD " Serenity ". Richard and Keith are also known as "Two Hearts"
